Because we always strive to bring great service and peace of mind, we listened to your feedback and brought the feature many of you have been waiting for!

Now, let’s take a closer look at how 2FA works, how you can make your account even more secure, and why you’ll love having it as part of your Tello experience.

What is 2FA and how does it work?

2FA is a security feature designed to give you enhanced protection for your Tello account by adding an extra layer of security to the login process. While your password does a great job, adding 2FA means you’re doubling up on protection with a quick, secure code that only you have access to.

Tello 2FA allows you to secure your account by enrolling in an authenticator app using a QR code or a manual one. We recommend using a third-party app such as Google Authenticator, Authy, or any TOTP-compatible app. 

Once enrolled, every login will require a unique code generated by the authenticator app, along with your password, ensuring your account remains secure.

How to set up Tello 2FA? 

To enable Tello 2FA, simply log into your Tello account and go to My Information page. Once there, under Account Details, you’ll see the Extra Security and Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). Next, click on “Set Up”. 

Proceed with scanning the provided QR code using your preferred authenticator app or manually add a key code if necessary. To complete the enrollment, you must enter the code generated by your authenticator app. Once done, the account will be protected with 2FA.

After set up, each login will require a unique OTP (one-time password) from the authenticator app. Keep in mind that Tello 2FA is optional but highly recommended for better security.
