At Tello, we’re all about making your wireless experience simple, flexible, and stress-free. That’s why we’re super excited to introduce our latest feature designed to keep you connected without missing a beat: Data Auto-Refill.

🔁 What is Data Auto-Refill?

Think of Data Auto-Refill as your safety net for mobile data. When enabled, Tello automatically adds a 2 GB data add-on to your account whenever your remaining balance dips below 500 MB.

No manual top-ups, no panic, and no sudden drop in connectivity. Just uninterrupted connection until your next billing cycle.

Here are the quick details on how Data Auto-Refill operates:

🔹 Affordable top-ups: Each 2 GB automatic refill is just $5 and is valid until the end of your current billing cycle.

🔹 Pay only when used: Enabling the feature is completely free! You are only charged when an auto-refill is actually triggered.

🔹 Zero surprises: You will receive a text notification as soon as a Data Auto-Refill purchase is completed, so you’re always in the loop.

🔹 Eligible plans: Data Auto-Refill is available for all data plan combinations, excluding the Unlimited Data plan.

🔹 Manual Tello Add-Ons stay the same: Prefer buying data manually whenever you feel like it? No problem! Manual Data Add-Ons work just like they always have.

We’ve made enabling and managing Data Auto-Refill super easy, whether you’re signing up for a new plan or tweaking your existing settings.

🌀 At checkout: You can toggle on Data Auto-Refill under the Plan section during checkout. Remember, no charge is made upfront. You’ll only pay when the Data Auto-Refill is triggered. This means when you hit that 500 MB threshold.

🌀 On your dashboard: Turn on Data Auto-Refill in your account dashboard. When active, you’ll see Data Auto-Refill listed under Extra Plan Features (right alongside options like Scam Guard).

🌀 Complete control: You’re never locked in! You can cancel the feature anytime directly from your dashboard. If you ever change your mind later, you can re-enable it easily under My Settings or during your next checkout.

🌀 On the go: Managing your plan on your phone? All of these updates are available in the My Tello App on both iOS and Android.

⚠️ Good to know before you go

To get the most out of your Data Auto-Refill, there are a couple of quick rules to keep in mind.

First, each 2 GB refill is designed as a short-term boost, meaning any added data is valid only through the end of your current billing cycle and won’t roll over. 

Additionally, because this feature is built specifically to prevent custom plans from running out of data, the Data Auto-Refill feature is not available on the Tello Unlimited Plan.
