🎉 New year, new money-saving challenge
If having a better budget is on top of your New Year’s resolutions list, you’re not alone!
Yes, we know it might sound like a cliché, but you can’t deny that January comes with some great plans in mind for all of us. Think goal setting, trip planning, skill learning, and the list can go on and on. The funny thing is that all of these activities depend on your budget planning.
This is why we have another money-saving challenge up for you: the #JanuarySpendingFreeze! ❄️
We took it literally this month because we want to help you freeze up any unnecessary spending and put some money aside for this year’s dreams and wishes.
🥶️ Never done a spending freeze before? Here’s how it works:
Let’s start with the basics. Repeat after us: “I will not buy unnecessary things!”
Not in a harsh voice, of course, but in a friendly one. If you think of this as a spending freeze mantra, you will think twice before adding to cart.
However, don’t put too much pressure on yourself. Try to be super realistic with how much you can save by setting some goals. Then, start making a list of the necessary things that you need to spend money on like food, transportation, bills, and stuff like that.
To make your life easier, we created a list of Do’s and Don’ts, but feel free to make your own!
If you need more tips and tricks, check out our previous challenge, the #NoSpendSeptember, right here. 💰
🤑 Keep in mind that you never have to pay more than you should on your monthly bills!
Here is where companies like Tello Mobile come to the rescue! In an era of overpriced everything, Tello offers excellent mobile phone service that actually has the fairest price. No, seriously, you really don’t need to pay more than what you use. You just have to assess your needs and pick the phone plan that suits you best.
If you’re already a Tello customer, take advantage of the full flexibility that we offer and upgrade or downgrade your plan anytime you want to.
🥳️ Make it fun!
This might come as a shock, but saving money is MUCH, MUCH harder than spending money. So, find some fun activities to do together with your loved ones that will also bring you some extra bucks to your piggy bank. Win-win situation: you get to have some great memories, and your savings balance is getting bigger.
Bake some delicious goodies with what’s already in your pantry, build a fort and have a movie night in, start that new book that sits on your shelf for a few months now, and do some fun DIY projects if re-decoration is what you had in mind for 2023. The list can go on, you just have to pick your favorite activity and do it without buying non-essential items. Come on, it’s not that hard.
😇 Use the saved money wisely!
After all the hard work you did while putting aside some bucks, you deserve to invest it in something amazing! Think of something useful that will bring you joy or a project you wanted to start. Think about paying any debt sooner than you should. Think about that next trip you’ve wanted for so long or a great surprise for your family. No matter what, invest that saved money wisely and enjoy them to the maximum.
😍 And the most important one: share your wins and victories!
Did you save $10 on your first week of the challenge? Let your hubby know!
Did you save $100 on your first day of the challenge? Join the #JanuarySpendingFreeze movement and spread it on social media! Sharing your wins might give you those happy happy joy dopamines that might help you double the savings, so why not do it?
Don’t forget to let us know about your money-saving challenge progress on our Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
We also have some tips and tricks over there that will definitely boost your budget.
Good luck everyone!

Hi there, sure! You can use it for authentication purposes, we are not a VoIP service, but a cellular one ;)
Do you have the Samsung Smart watch 4? I would like to now how much it is ? That is If you do have the Samsung smart watch 4 series.
Hi Laurie,
We only sell phones, not smartwatches (so far), so unfortunately NO, we don’t offer that.
I am very happy with Tello, and I tell everyone about it. I am so glad I found this service.
I just wanted to say that I love my service with Tello. The prices are amazing. And I have no issues with my service .i tell all my friends, especially now that eveything is getting so expensive to switch their phone service to Tello. . I am do glad I switched to tello instead of another carrier .
I love Tello for the prices. The one thing I miss is having a voice barred option as I am Deaf. I have been getting voice mail but what’s the point? Is there a way to block all voice calls? I still want text obviously.
Hi Jan,
The way we see it, you have 2 options. You can either block all your Voice Calls from the Settings of your device or you can buy from Tello a plan with no minutes (therefore you won’t have this problem anymore).
If you need extra assistance with this, don’t hesitate to write back.
