The minutes included in any Tello cell plan are available for US, Canada, Mexico, Romania and China. If you need to call other countries, you can use Pay As You Go – available for both international calls and texts.
If you have an active prepaid plan with talk included, we’ll deduct the number of minutes used to call Mexico, Canada, China or Romania from your phone plan balance.

I’m paying $14 monthly to Tello since October, 2021. Now, I am trying to make a call to Hong Kong from Texas, I dialed 011 852 9040 0862 repeatedly, but it said, “check your account.” Why I can’t make a call to Hong Kong?

I changed over to Tello because I was moving to Slovakia for more than a year and wanted free international calls not only back home but also while in Slovakia (and Czech Republic). But when I arrived, I have no signal/no service. I have been able to make WiFi calls (great!) but I need to use my data for navigation tomorrow. What do I need to do to get my iPhone to work with Tello while in a foreign country (that is on your list of covered countries)?

Tello does not offer Roaming, so you will not be able to use your mobile data while in Slovakia or in any other country, for that matter.
Unfortunately, the list of countries you mentioned is the list of countries that you can call for free with your Tello plan. It does not mean you will be able to use your service while traveling to that country.
The only option to use your minutes/texts is to use your Tello plan over Wi-Fi Calling & Texting, but that means you need to be connected to a Wi-Fi network at all times.

I just want to make sure I understand this correctly… I am going to Italy. In order to send or receive calls and texts, I have to be connected to a Wifi network. Additionally, I will also have pay 5 cents/text, 25 cents/call, and/or 5 cents/min of data. Is that correct?
Honestly, I only want it in case of emergency. So is there any way to accrue to the charges and pay the bill of whatever I use when I get back?

If you will be using Wi-Fi calling only, then you do not need International Roaming.
As long as you have an active plan and Wi-Fi calling is enabled, then you will be using your plan’s resources for domestic calls and calls to 60+ destinations.

If you want to use international roaming, you will need to have at least $5 Pay As You Go Credit on your account, and yes, you will be charged for calls and text according to the rates of your destination.
