Save your data with Low Data Mode & Data Saver
Do you want your data to last longer without spending more?
Spoiler alert: You’re not alone! And the best part is that the solution is already in your phone.
For real, one quick setting can help you avoid overages and stretch your data each month.
Low Data Mode (iOS) and Data Saver (Android)
Ladies and gentlemen, introducing the data-saving heroes built into your phones: Low Data Mode on iOS and Data Saver on Android.
Most people don’t realize how much mobile data gets used behind the scenes: from background apps and updates to cloud syncing, it all adds up faster than you think.
So, this setting comes to the rescue by stopping background data drain, pausing unnecessary updates, and extending the life of your data. This will help you save money and stay in control, without changing how you use your phone.
All you have to do? Turn it on!
Here’s how to turn on Low Data Mode or Data Saver:
🍏 For iPhone Users:
- Open Settings
- Tap Cellular (or Mobile Service)
- Tap Cellular Data Options (or Mobile Service Options)
- Tap Data Mode
- Select Low Data Mode
🤖 For Android Users:
Samsung phones:
- Open Settings
- Tap Connections
- Tap Data Usage
- Now tap Data Saver
- Toggle the switch to turn it on
Pixel phones:
- Open Settings
- Tap Network & Internet
- Tap Data Saver
- Turn it ON
Easy, right? This way, you’ll save more data, and you can always update apps, stream high-quality videos, or download large files later when you’re on Wi-Fi.
Why should you use Low Data Mode or Data Saver?
✅ Stretch your data: Avoid using data on things you don’t really need, like background syncing or hidden app updates.
✅ Improve battery life: Less background activity = less power used. It’s a win-win.
✅ Stay in control: See which apps are using the most data and manage them smarter.
The fix is easier than you think, and it only takes 10 seconds. Try it today! Your data (and your wallet) will thank you!

Hi William,
Thanks for pointing this out! Initially, we had included the generic Android steps, but after your feedback, we realized they don’t fully apply to Samsung devices. We’ve now updated the content to include separate, accurate instructions for both Samsung and Pixel phones.
Appreciate the heads-up!
Your Android instructions to get to Data Saver are wrong. There is no Network and Internet choice. After selecting Settinga, one should simply search for Data Saver and go directly there.
